This position is for the Building Automation division.

We are looking for Desktop/PC Support Intern

• Our Company is seeking motivated students to assist in deploying approximately 100 new computers across our factory and warehouse floor over the summer. 
• This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on IT experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the manager on progress and issues each day.
• Replace existing personal computers with new ones and remove old ones for recycling
• Set up and connected new computers, including monitors, keyboards, and other peripherals
• Install and configured Microsoft Windows and other software as needed
• Ensure proper connections to the network (training provided)
• Follow step-by-step instructions for installation and setup
• Troubleshoot basic setup issues with guidance from IT support
• Provide basic assistance to employees transitioning to new computers
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and computer hardware setup
• Ability to hook up a new computer and peripherals correctly
• Some understanding of networks is helpful (training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively and ask for help when needed
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• The job requires lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working extensively with your hands in a factory environment that is sometimes dusty.
• Also I worked at a desk and set up new PCs with software.
