Shift Timing- 2nd shift (2:10 pm - 10:40 pm)


This position is for the Power/Energy division.

We are looking for a Painter

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Perform all blade preparations prior to the paint application process, which include but are not limited to –

  • Sandblasting of the blade
  • Sanding of the green blade
  • Sanding of repaired areas in preparation for filling
  • Rough filling of blade repairs, filters, and other areas
  • Geometric sanding of rough fill to blade geometry
  • Fine filling of the blade-to-blade geometry
  • Paint and paint repair of the blade
  • Application of final finishing components to blade standards

PRE-REQUISITE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to use hand & power tools safely
  • Previous paint application experience preferred

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The employee must certify on the 3C requirements for filling and sanding to specifications prior to painting
  • Within the qualifying period, the employee must complete the required equipment-specific training requirements and process applications
  • Acquire a forklift and crane license
  • Ability to read, write, and understand the metric measuring system
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis
  • Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day
  • Available for overtime for up to 12-hour days and on off days

WORKING PROCEDURES:
The following are the major job duties; this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent.

  • Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written, and follow work instructions
  • Operate blade handling equipment as needed
  • Document painting application as required
  • Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of equipment to assemble, inspect, and evaluate parts per accepted Siemens or industry standards
  • Set up, operate, and maintain painting application equipment per work instructions
  • Perform visual inspections as required
  • Work with or under the direction of managers and engineers
  • Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations
  • Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures
  • Provide technical direction to other employees as required
  • Keep work areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Support and apply team concepts in daily activities

Candidate/Resume Requirements:

  • 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to read, write & speak the English language fluently
  • Ability to use hand & power tools and lifting equipment
  • Possess or have the ability to acquire all PIME licenses by passing the company test requirements
  • Possess or have the ability to acquire LOTO certification
  • Sit, stand, bend & kneel for 8 or more hours/day
  • Available for overtime for up to 12-hour days and on off days
